Razerhorse is an equine shoe and pad manufacturer located in Aubrey, Texas. We have created a line of flexible steel horse shoes and pads. Our innovative design allows the horse to balance and move as if it were barefoot, yet still protects the hoof from wear. Specific features include a broad toe for a smoother slide upon hoof landing, and a rounded rim to enhance traction and reduce stress during motion.
In addition to the Razer flexible steel shoe we offer the Propad, a polyurethane hoof support that is designed to work with the Razer shoe or other shoes to cushion a hoof’s impact with the ground. Propad is the only pad on the market to offer independent frog support. This frog support helps to reduce concussion and was designed to reestablish frog function on a shod hoof. It has a dual density to offer softer concussion absorbing material while still being durable.
The Razer shoe technology was created in Sweden in 2003 by founder Erik Lundquist, who was searching for a solution to return his lame racehorse to the track. His original shoe design made Razer a leading brand in the Swedish Standardbred racing industry. In 2012, the concept was modified into a second line to fit the needs of the Quarter Horse. However, the hallmarks of the original shoe are still an important part of the new line.
